SEMI-PRIVATE AND PUBLIC COURSES

Within 15 minutes to an hour, we are extremely fortunate to have perhaps 40 or more semi-public golf courses offering a wide variety of play and rates. Memberships are available and you do not have to reside in the community to join. (that photo is Heron Creek #1

Pelican Pointe,  Waterford-Calusa Lakes-Capri Isles,  Heron Creek, Riverwood, Bobcat Trail,  Bobby Jones, Oak Ford, The Rotunda Courses (Check this out for Judy your Virtual Tour Guide, she's over the top), Tatum Ridge,  There are lots more, I consider these in the neighborhood. The best executive course in the area is Oyster Creek, a cart is mandatory, palmettos, water and precision shots., your wife can beat you.

PRIVATE COURSES
There are a several exceptional private golf and country clubs that offer the full amenities and an upscale lifestyle with 5 star facilities and equity memberships in the $25,000 to $40,000 range. Venice Golf and Country Club is one of the finest .

Venice Golf and Country Club,  Plantation G&CC, Jacaranda G&CC,  Boca Royale G&CC.   Lemon Bay, I learned how to find golf balls here before they went private,  and this one too, Myakka Pines, laid back and lots of gators.

GREAT VALUES IN GOLF COURSE PROPERTY

You'll find wonderful golf course homes in these gated and deed restricted, where membership and support of the golf course is optional. The open expanses of fairways and lakes provide a scenic backdrop from your lanai and pool.

Lastly, during the off-season, May 1st through December 31, courses offer great discounts. It's my time to always have my clubs in the trunk.
